花亀甲 -Floral Hexagons- This piece combines elegance and radiance, with a soft peach-pink ground and a floral kikkō pattern woven in gold in a beautifully ordered arrangement. The kikkō motif, derived from the shape of a turtle’s shell, has long been cherished in Japanese decorative art as an auspicious symbol of longevity, stability, and enduring happiness. Here, floral motifs reminiscent of the flowers of the four seasons are set within the hexagons, adding brightness, charm, and a richer sense of expression to the design. By layering soft volume and fan-like folds onto the orderly repetition of the hexagonal pattern, I shaped the piece so that a light sense of movement emerges within its formal beauty. The warm peach-pink tones and golden shimmer bring brightness and gentle splendor to the space where it is displayed. やわらかな桃色の地に、金で織り出された花亀甲文様が端正に連なる、華やかさと品のよさをあわせもつ一枚です。亀甲文は亀の甲羅に由来することから、長寿や安定、末永い幸せを願う吉祥文様として親しまれてきました。そこに四季の草花を思わせる花の意匠が添えられることで、晴れやかさと愛らしさが重なり、より豊かな表情が生まれています。整然とした六角形の連なりに、やわらかなふくらみと扇状の折りを重ねることで、きちんとした美しさの中に軽やかな動きが感じられるよう仕立てました。あたたかみのある桃色と金の輝きが空間に明るさを添え、飾る場所にやさしい華やぎをもたらしてくれる作品です。
