鼓 -Tsuzumi- This piece features a lively tsuzumi motif set against a warm contrast of vivid orange and soft ivory, creating a joyful sense of rhythm. The tsuzumi, a traditional hand drum, has long been associated with celebratory occasions, gagaku court music, and Noh theater, and is cherished as a symbol of auspiciousness, festivity, and the power of sound to enliven a space. By combining soft, rounded folds with fan-like pleats, I shaped the obi to evoke the feeling of drumbeats resonating outward in light, graceful movement. Its bright colors and charming motif bring warmth and radiance to a room, and I hope it becomes a piece that lifts the spirit each time it is seen. あたたかな橙とやわらかな生成りのコントラストの中に、鼓文様が軽やかにリズムを刻む一枚です。鼓は古くから、祝いの席や雅楽、能などとも結びつき、晴れやかさや吉祥、場を華やかに整える音の象徴として親しまれてきました。ふくらみのある結びと扇のように広がる折りを重ねることで、鼓の音が響き合うような楽しさと流れを表現しています。明るい色彩と愛らしい文様が空間にあたたかさと華やぎを添え、飾るたびに気持ちまで少し弾むような作品になれたら嬉しいです。
